Description
9" (23 cm.) One-piece bisque head and torso, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, tiny porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointing at shoulders and hips, painted mid-thigh black stockings and brown two-strap heeled shoes, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, small chip at left leg rim. Marks: 886 S 5 H. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: sought-after so-called "black stocking" girl in rare larger size.
