Each has polychromed terra cotta head, he with shadowed bald pate and brown sculpted short curls around side and back of head, she with molded blue turban cap with brown curls peeking from beneath, each with enamel eyes with heavy eyelids, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings, black shoes with red buckles, wearing original homespun and silk costume. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, excellent characterization especially for this small size.
