Description
16" (41 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, blue side-glancing eyes, fringed upper lashes, dark eye shadow at lower eyes, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, brunette mohair wig in side coiled braids, jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (paper label with ink script identification on reverse "BF 13") and parchment heart shaped label indicating "Ciociara". Comments: Lenci, late 1930s. Value Points: in vibrant well-preserved condition, the doll is wearing traditional costume of Ciociaria region of Italy.
