Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head, tiny blue glass sleep eyes, fringed upper curly lashes, one-stroke brows, tiny nose, closed mouth modeled as though open with shaded lips, smiling impish expression, laughter crinkles around the eyes, auburn mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1428 6. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1912. Value Points: especially fine modeling on the rare expressive character with well-defined laughter crinkles and dimples, very choice bisque and painting.
