Description
21" (53 cm.) Firm hollow-bodied elephant with grey wool flannel cover has loosely attached head in "nodding" fashion, with amber glass eyes, wooden tusks, upturned trunk, with flannel black and woolen fringed decorations. When key-wound, the elephant "nods" its head up and down for extended period. Condition: some wear to flannel cover, mechanism functions well. Comments: early 1900s. Value Points: wonderfully functioning nodder toy with excellent details such as glass eyes and wooden tusks.
