10" (25 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with uptilted face and elongated throat, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, closed mouth with wide center accent line, brunette mohair upswept wig over plaster pate, muslin body with stitch-jointing, bisque lower arms and legs, painted white stockings, black heeled ankle boots, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6/0 172 Made in Germany. Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, inspired by drawings by American illustrator, Charles Dana Gibson. Value Points: precious petite fashion doll with original wig, pate, body, and lovely bisque and presence.
