18" (46 cm.) White porcelain shoulderhead with elongated face and throat, sculpted grey hair drawn into highly-stylized coiffure, partially-sculpted ears, heavily-modeled eyelids lending a down-glancing expression, painted blue/grey eyes, aquiline nose, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower arms, silk gown, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1910, the doll was introduced at the 1908 Munich Art Doll Exhibition, this being a rare variation of hair color and complexion.
