All-wooden doll except metal hands and feet, carved details of face and hair with painted-over-gesso finish, blonde hair, closed mouth, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. The original finish is very worn overall on head, structurally excellent: Joel Ellis, circa 1875, hard-to-find larger size of the sturdy American doll. PLEASE NOTE: ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS.
