Description
19" (48 cm.) Standing upon a golden velvet-covered base is a bisque head doll with large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French carton torso and legs, wire upper arms, bisque forearms, antique costume, holding an upright umbrella in her left hand and a basket of flowers and bird in her right. When wound, music plays, she turns her head side to side and alternately twirls the umbrella side to side and lifts and lowers the basket, while music plays. Condition: generally excellent, music and movements function well. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau 2. Comments: Leopold Lambert, circa 1890. Value Points: charming movements are accentuated by especially beautiful face, lovely costume.
