Description
9" (23 cm.) h. bed. The wooden furnishings with ebony finish are decorated with appliqued embossed gilt papers and edging in a child version of the Boulle style of Napoleon III era, and comprise high canopy day bed with blue silk satin canopies and cover, two arm chairs with blue silk upholstery, pedestal table, fernery with flowers, and a mirrored armoir. Also included is a gilt cased vitrine with Madonna statue. Excellent condition. French, attributed to the early firm of Badeuille during the tenure of Adelaide Catherine Prive, circa 1880.
