Description
21" (53 cm.) overall. 6" shoulderhead. Thick paste porcelain shoulderhead with slightly-defined bosom, delicately-tinted complexion, oval-shaped face and elongated throat, black sculpted hair with center part forming into two long narrow braids that loop around each finely-sculpted ear into single braids at the back that form into tightly coiled chignon, painted blue eyes in half moon shape, defined eye sockets, red and black upper eyeliner, accented eye corners, circle-accent nostrils, primly-set lips, blushed cheeks, old muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower limbs, painted black ankle boots, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, body is slightly elongated. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: the rarity of the model, and her most expressive features and superb coiffe are enhanced by very fine quality of porcelain and painting.
