Bisque socket head, painted facial features, intaglio pale blue eyes with large black pupils, black upper eyeliner, short stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with beaded teeth between the outlined lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, mariner costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Made in Germany A 4 M 7. Comments: Marseille, circa 1910, from their rare art character series with intaglio painted eyes. Value Points: wonderfully expressive features on the rare doll with especially fine sculpting around the eyes and mouth.
