13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, blue spiral-threaded glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 204 5. Comments: Bahr and Proschild, circa 1890. Value Points: an especially pretty closed mouth child, in the French manner, with rich spiral-threaded eyes, original early body and body finish.
