Description
8 1/2" (22 cm.) Carved wooden head with oval-shaped face, defined facial features with lightly tinted eyes and mouth, painted black pate with original hole for queue (missing), all cloth body. Condition: generally excellent, some costume fading. Comments: Door of Hope mission, early period, circa 1915. Value Points: wearing original costume with original stitched-on label "Boy" comprising rose silk brocade tunic under ivory silk vest with frog closure, aqua silk pants with pink edging, pink embroidered slippers and wonderful highly-embroidered aqua silk cap with edging which matches pants.
