19" (48 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered arched brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with daintily-accented lips and upturned lip corners, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, Gesland poupee body of padded stockinette over metal armature allowing infinite articulation, bisque lower arms and legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent, left ear hole pierced through. Marks: G. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his deposed "smiling" model of 1872, on deposed Gesland body. Value Points: especially beautiful expression and quality of artistry, rare body style with bisque hands and feet, and wearing exquisite cream cashmere gown with embroidered details.
