25" (64 cm.) Socket head with elongated facial modeling, painted complexion and facial features, shaded blue eyes, black eyeliner, grey shaded eyeshadow, feathered brows, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, auburn mohair wig in bobbed fashion, all-cloth body with stitch-jointed arms and legs, antique costume which may be original. Condition: very good, original finish is well preserved with few rubs. Marks: Dora Petzold Registered Trademark Doll Germany. Comments: Dora Petzold, the German artist who re-invigorated the art character movement in the 1930s. Value Points: rarely found studio doll with very expressive features, original painted finish.
