19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks and throat, blue glass sleep eyes with darker blue outer iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open, row of painted teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden fully-jointed early body with straight wrists, silk costume in the vintage manner. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 12. Comments: Kestner, circa 1882, the doll closely resembles the Bebe Bru known as "circle dot" model. Value Points: rare model with beautiful quality of bisque and painting, unusual painted teeth, original body and body finish.
