22" (56 cm.) Poured wax shoulderhead of adult lady with haughtily-uptilted head upon elongated slender throat and with modeled bosom, half-moon-shaped blue glass eyes, heavily-modeled eyelids, defined brows and eyeliner, closed mouth with wide accent line between the lips, inserted hip-length hair into wax scalp, twill softly-stuffed body, poured wax slender lower limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, circa 1875, portrait model of unidentified elegant lady of the era, in the Pierotti manner. Value Points: compelling expression and pose of the elegant lady, original body, and wearing beautiful antique costume and bonnet, undergarments, with blue ribbon award from Doll Collector's of American annual meeting of 1994.
