Description
6" (15 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1882, from the petite dolls presented in the 1882 Etrennes catalog as "poupees de poche" (pocket dolls) in reference to their tiny size. Value Points: most endearing expression on the mignonette with rarer bare feet and original silk costume.
