Description
16" (41 cm.) All-cloth doll with swivel head, pressed felt face with painted brown side-glancing eyes, painted upper and side lashes, blushed cheeks, blonde mohair bobbed wig, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips. Wearing black and white checkered shirt attached to black and white plaid cotton pants, black bow tie, black serge jacket, top hat with brim, socks and black front-snap shoes with buckle trim. The costume is tagged "David Copperfield Madame Alexander NY". Excellent condition. Madame Alexander, 1935, from her series of Dickens character dolls, unusual variation of costume.
