15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, brilliant blue glass cobalt eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent, minor patching on kid body. Marks: 2. Comments: attributed to Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1870. Value Points: very beautiful face whose pale bisque is enhanced by brilliant eyes, is wearing original three-piece gown of bronze-green silk edged with teal blue silk, with very extended train and bustle, undergarments, bonnet, leather boots.
