Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) x 5". The oval painting of Mrs. Siddons in blue gown with feathered bonnet, against a burgundy background, inspired by the famous painting by Gainsborough, is set in a frame of tiled piano keys with painted floral detail. The British actress (1755-1831) was famed for her role as Lady MacBeth. Age uncertain. Excellent condition.
