8 1/2" (22 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, large brown glass sleep eyes, long painted lashes, brush-stroked brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth, richly-shaped lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, black ribbed above-the-knees painted stockings, brown two-strap heeled shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 886 S 5 H. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: rare larger size of the desirable all-bisque "black stocking" model, fine quality of bisque and painting, original wig, fine antique costume and bonnet.
