18" (46 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with sculpted hair under flocked original finish, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, brown eyeliner, brown painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, slightly-parted lips with row of porcelain teeth, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 237 Paris 4. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1915. Value Points: handsome lad with splendid eyes, rare flocked hair, is wearing his original costume from the 1915 exhibition of costumed dolls at the Margaine-Lacroix studio in Paris including headdress and belt with figural coin emblems, the tunic bearing the original silk label "Margaine-Lacroix 19 Boulevard Haussmann Paris".
