Description
16" (41 cm.) overall. 4" head. Pink-tinted porcelain shoulderhead with slender face, elongated throat and well-modeled bosom, her head inclined slightly sideways, painted downcast side-glancing eyes, aquiline nose, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, original muslin upper torso and upper arms, pink-tinted porcelain hands with expressive fingers, attached to original wire tea cozy frame, antique costume. Excellent condition. Germany, the doll was introduced at the 1908 Munich Art Doll Exhibition, occasioning the public interest in the developing half-doll movement.
