Bisque socket head with modeled full cheeks, blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with very full outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-articulated body with straight wrists, wearing antique nanny costume and coiffe and leather bebe shoes with rosettes impressed EJ 4. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: A 4 T. Comments: Andre Thuillier, circa 1882. Value Points: the sought-after qualities of heavily-lidded dreamy eyes are beautifully-achieved on this lovely doll with finest quality of bisque and painting, original body in near mint condition.
