18" (46 cm.) Well-modeled paper mache bulldog with defined musculature has flocked-coat finish in black and white, sculpted stand-up ears, brown glass inset eyes, loosely-attached nodding head, hinged jaw with ferociously-painted mouth and teeth, original collar and ruff, chain, and wooden wheels. When pulled along, his jaw opens and closes and he growls in a ferocious manner. Excellent condition. French, circa 1900.
