Description
57" (145 cm.) All cloth doll with overall oil-painted finish, having painted short brown hair under wig, painted facial features, stitch-jointing of limbs, wearing antique costume. Excellent condition with original well-preserved painting, except some re-stitching and paint wear at wrists and hands. Martha Chase, circa 1910, the doll was commissioned as a study figure for nurse’s training, and was also used by stores as a mannequin figure.
