10" (25 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with sculpted short brown hair softly waved from face and arranged into formal finger curls over back of head, held by black hair band with bow, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with smiling expression, painted black throat ribbon and brooch, original muslin body, bisque lower arms and legs, painted brown ankle boots, antique lace gown. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1875, attributed to Simon and Halbig. Value Points: rarity factors include brown hair, black hair band, glass eyes, painted necklace, original body.
