Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, accent dots at eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with solemn expression, shaded lips, impressed dimple at philtrum and chin, separately-modeled pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, cork pate, early French plump composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 13 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, his portrait bebe commissioned from the celebrated sculptor Carrier-Belleuse, circa 1884. Value Points: very fine quality of sculpting and bisque, original body and body finish, superb rich burgundy red silk dress and matching bonnet, undergarments, leather boots impressed L.I.
