Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows with feathered detail, accented nostrils, closed mouth with slightly-upturned lip corners, double chin, early composition and wooden fully-jointed body, nicely-costumed. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish except retouch to hands. Marks: 14. Comments: Kestner, circa 1885. Value Points: fine modeling on the closed mouth doll enhanced by excellent bisque, complexion and painting.
