13" (33 cm.) All-cloth doll with firmly-pressed and oil-painted complexion, facial features and brown shaded hair with feathered details, separately stitched ears, dark blue eyes with all-around dark lashes, feathered brows, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, all muslin body with stitch-jointing, oil-painted limbs, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Ella Smith (some indecipherable lettering) Roanoke Alabama Patented (stamp on body). Comments: Alabama Baby, Ella Smith, circa 1900. Value Points: unusual small size with original finish wonderfully preserved.
