Description
34" (86 cm.) x 19" x 11". The early wooden shop with angled sides has original painted ochre/brown finish and is fitted with numerous cabinets, drawers and shelving around the three walls, and with matching counter which stands in the center of the wooden floor with original patterned finish. The store is lavishly filled with apothecary contents including a matched set of milk glass labeled jars which line the top shelf, dozens of glass bottles with intriguing herbal cures, and various labeled tin and cardboard containers, as well as scales, mortar and pestle, ladder, two skulls and a skeleton. A porcelain head man in blue uniform stands in attendance. The shop has original Apotheke name at the center top of back wall. Excellent condition. Germany, mid-1800s.
