Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) Doll. 12" x 10 1/2" Box. Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque slender torso, blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, blonde mohair wig with long braid, peg-jointed bisque slender arms and legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1882, the mignonette was presented in a holiday Etrennes catalog of Parisian toy store such as Au Paradis des Enfants which specialized in such luxury goods. Value Points: original presentation, in original fitted box, the bare foot doll is wearing original lingerie, and owns four additional costumes.
