11" (28 cm.) All composition with socket head, blue sleep eyes, real lashes, dark eyeshadow, tiny closed mouth, jointing at shoulders and legs. She is wearing original elaborate Brazilian costume with orange taffeta skirt lavishly trimmed with colorful rick-rack, shawl, petticoat, panties, blue side-snap shoes, bracelet, bangle earrings, and with red bandanna and basket of fruit on her head. The costume has original cloth label "Carmen Madame Alexander, New York USA/All Rights Reserved". Near mint condition. Madame Alexander, 1940, the popular Brazilian performer is depicted in her colorful theatrical costume.
