17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with blonde sculpted hair with softly shaped curls at the crown that are waved behind the ears and form into long ringlet curls that tumble onto her shoulders, and with a rolled chignon at the back of her head, painted facial features, brilliant blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented eye corners, closed mouth, sculpted bodice with ruffled neckline and yoke, accented by a pink bow, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent, some repairs on cloth body, one thumb tip chipped. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: rare coiffure with elaborate details of curls crowned by a black sculpted hair bow, antique costume.
