Description
19" (48 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, blonde painted boyish hair with combmarked details, intaglio painted blue eyes with prominent black pupils, white eyedots, accented eye corners, closed mouth, outlined lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wonderful antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (sunburst mark) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910. Value Points: especially pleasing quality of bisque and painting enhances the artistic sculpting of character features such as expressive lips, double chin, impressed cheek dimples.
