25" (64 cm.) One-piece solid domed carved wooden head and torso with oval elongated face and throat, slightly-shaped bosom, defined waist and rounded hips, brown enamel eyes, painted facial features, rose blushed eye shadow, cheeks and chin, aquiline nose with accented nostrils, defined philtrum dimple, closed mouth, with original tacked-on wig arranged in rolled curls and cascading to back waist, dowel-jointing at shoulders and elbows, on original wooden cage skirt form. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Continental, 18th century. Value Points: compelling expression with wonderfully preserved original painted finish, outstanding wig, and wearing early costume with exquisite embroidery.
