Description
17" (43 cm.) Of fine mahogany with satinwood panels, the secretaire features a drop-front which hinges open to form into a writing surface, the interior finished with rich green lacquer, and with lower drawers. The desk is accented with bronze figural mounts at the side columns and has elaborately-shaped bronze drawer pulls. Excellent condition. French, maitrise model, mid-1800s.
