Description
18" (46 cm.) All composition with socket head, brown sleep eyes, real lashes, chubby face, bow-shaped lips of closed mouth, mohair wig with original curls, jointed shoulders and hips. She is wearing original white organdy dress with polka dot ruffled collar, matching bonnet with polka dot bow, one piece undergarment, socks and shoes. The costume has original (washed out) tag. Head and limbs are excellent, torso finish flaked, costume excellent. Madame Alexander, 1931. One of the earliest composition dolls presented by her. The doll, itself, was commissioned from a generic firm while the costumes, box with pencil note "45 Betty", and marketing were issued by Madame Alexander. Few examples exist of this model.
