15" (38 cm.) The straight high-back wooden chair with rolled arms, carved crest, and branch-like support is richly finished with gold leaf over gesso base, and has early blue silk and embroidered silk upholstery. Generally excellent, some rubs to original gold leaf. Late 1700s.
