Description
16" (41 cm.) All composition with socket head, very plump cheeks, brown sleep eyes, real lashes, button-shaped nose, tiny rosebud-shaped closed lips, brown curly lambswool wig, jointing at shoulders and hips. The doll is marked "Fiberoid Doll" in raised lettering on the torso. She is wearing original organdy dress with pleated blue collar, onesie undergarments, socks and side-snap cream shoes. The dress has cloth tag "Betty Madame Alexander New York" (identical to #76 tag). Near mint condition. Madame Alexander, early 1930s, the doll was commissioned from the Fiberoid Doll Co. of New York, and costumed and marketed by Madame Alexander, a very rare early model with superb wig.
