Description
6" (15 cm.) Each has poured wax head with tiny enamel eyes, closed mouth, tendrils of mohair wig under bonnet, wooden block torso, wax arms, one with carved wooden legs and painted sandals, the other without legs, each wearing original silk costume with metallic trim. Good condition, some frailty of costume, face rubs. The interior of costumes are lined with Latin hand-inked papers indicating their origin. Italian, late 1700s.
