Description
11" (28 cm.) Two bisque head dolls with brown glass eyes, open mouths and mohair wigs and posed sitting on a wooden platform with lithographed paper cover to simulate woven wicker; the dolls have wooden block torsos, wire upper arms and legs, paper mache lower arms and legs with painted stockings and shoes, and wearing matching cream silk costumes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, attributed to Zinner & Sohne, circa 1900, when hand-wound at the front, music plays and the dolls turn their heads and move their arms up and down waving the strings of bells in their hands. Value Points: delightful little pair merrily perform to festive music.
