Description
20" (51 cm.) w. x 11"h. x 12"d. The wooden store with open front has two display windows at the front that are hinged to swing open. The back wall has a mirrored cabinet that centers four glass door cabinets with shelved interiors. There is a matching counter, and the store has original wall and floor paper. The store has original painted pink, cream and grey finish with traces of original decoupage. Arranged in the store are miniature bonnets of various styles on wooden hat stands, along with bolts of fabric, accessories, sewing tools, and such. Structurally excellent (one glass window has hole), with original finish, albeit quite worn. The shop has the Christian Hacker stamp along with the hand-lettered number 170/1. Germany, Christian Hacker, circa 1880, the swing-out doors are highly characteristic of his firm's early stores, this being a most charming petite size.
