Description
8" (20 cm.) Long straight brunette hair and bangs, bendable-knee non-walking-style body. Wearing yellow cotton sateen dress with lace bodice and yellow flower, matching lace bonnet with ruffled edge and cluster of tiny yellow flowers at the crown, lace edged slip, knit leggings, tan side-snap shoes. The costume is tagged "Madame Alexander Reg. US Pat. Off. NY USA". Near mint condition. Alexander, model 719, 1968, the miniature shadow model to her larger sister Easter Girl. Included is a copy of a 1970 letter from Frank Martin, the West Coast representation for Alexander which describes this doll and her matching 14" sister (lot 188, this auction) and states "In all, only 300 pcs. total of these matching outfits were made".
