14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, accented lips, pierced ears, light brown mohair wig over cork pate, kid gusset-jointed poupee body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: A La Recompense Mon. Nadaud Jouets (paper label on body). Comments: Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1875, the poupee was presented in the illustrious Parisian boutique of Nadaud. Value Points: beautiful poupee with superb original gown, undergarments, bonnet, and shoes.
