Bisque socket head depicting plump-cheeked girl with elongated face, painted blue eyes in deeply-set sockets, painted upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with primly-set lips, blonde mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 0. (doll) No 7 N. ert (ink note on box label). Comments: Germany, mystery maker, possibly Marseille from their painted eye art character series, circa 1910. Value Points: captivating expression of the older plump-cheeked child with notable impressed dimples in cheeks, chin and lip corners, wearing factory original costume and in base of original box.
