11" (28 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with heart-shaped face and elongated throat, black sculpted hair forming into two wide pouf curls and an elaborate "beehive" arrangement at the crown, painted facial features, blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, closed mouth in smiling expression, firmly-stuffed body, wooden lower legs, kid arms, original (frail) antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, light craquelure on shoulderplate, fingers worn. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: rare coiffure on the petite lady.
