Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, shaded lips, pierced ears, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 (head and shoulders) F.G. (shoulders). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: especially beautiful face with richly-painted eyeliner and lashes, very study original body, wearing original multi-layered nun's habit with cape, rosary and other accessories.
